Hi guys!
That’s a wrap. Last game of this Odisha Hockey World League Final, against Spain. An opponent we met during the pool stage. It was important for us to win our last game, here, at Bhubaneswar, because in a year from now, we want to do the same, and win gold at the upcoming World Cup.
Once again, happy and proud of the team to have kept yet another cleansheet against a strong opponent. With 5 game in 7 days, you could see we did not develop our best hockey. At the end of the day, only the win mattered today.
It’s now time to rest, recover, and spend some quality time with the family. We’ll be back at work soon enough to get the next chapter going – The 2018 World Cup.
All in all, we go back home with a lot of takeways, whether it’s about us, our opponents next year at the World Cup, or the city and the stadium of Bhubaneswar.
